I have always loved doing art, especially drawings, paintings and photographs with faces in them. For as long as I can remember I've been a "people person". In 1978, I began my career as a negative retoucher at Mitchell's Studio in New Philadelphia, Ohio. While working in that side of the industry,
Being told that I'm a natural behind the camera, I feel I was born to be a photographer. I’ve studied my craft for over 25 years and have participated in many hands-on workshops. My graphic arts knowledge gives me the ability to enhance images to their own special level. To further perfected my portrait skills I worked for the most well-known national portrait studio in the history of portrait photography. That’s where I met fellow photographer and now my husband, Dan, who like me, has a passion for photography. After years of working for other companies, Dan and I decided that we wanted to give a more personal touch to our craft and that’s why we started Old Schoolhouse Photography.
